New on chan3.org (February 21, 2010)
I have added an "affiliates" section to the front page. I wanted to make note of hurr.ca. I found it surprisingly in line with the ideals that I had set in place when I had originally started chan3.org.
Much like channel3, its imageboard front page states:
"We are not "Anonymous". Due to the bad reputation given to the anonymous name by the internet and other media, it has extended the bad image to most imageboards."
I will definitely be watching hurr.ca with great interest, watching it grow and develop. I suggest you do the same.
Until next time!

The Ideal.
All great ideas must be driven by an ideal. Something to work toward. Something to aspire to. Something to draw inspiration from.
Welcome to chan3.org. Ours is an imageboard powered by contribution, creativity and respect. We seek not to cultivate hatred or intolerance here. The mentality that has long bred this form of typical imageboard negativity can be left at the door.
New contributors are welcome. You need not be frightened off by more seasoned members. We wish to breed more imageboard users, rather than scare them off. There is no secret club here.
We are not "Anonymous." Though some contributors may post anonymously, we prefer to avoid the "Anonymous" label that has such a tainted image. We understand and acknowledge why this image is tainted and wish to work around it. Contributors that are posting without the use of a pseudonym will be labeled herein as "Unidentified."
We seek to make the imageboard medium reputable. In our world, imageboards should be for absolutely everyone. It is a wonderful medium of communication and content sharing, but the culture tends to scare off the more timid contributors. We understand and acknowledge this.
Acts of malice against other contributors is strictly prohibited. "Insurgencies" are prohibited. Ours is a culture of kindness and respect, and this is explained in far greater detail in our codes of conduct section.
chan3.org is built around this ideal. You are welcome, regardless of your perspective, your background or your identity.
Love,
Avalon
